Thank you for all of the dialogue about comparing and blogging in general. One of my favorite things about this blogging excursion of mine is how much I am learning from other sound mamas across the globe. I appreciate your wisdom. As in everything, moderation is key.
In the midst of de-junking prior to our big move I came across my own personal topical guide that I have added to over the years, and thought some of you might be interested in seeing it. It all began as a new missionary in the MTC, trying to keep all of my papers and thoughts organized.
I bought the biggest binder the MTC store (which is awesome by the way) offered and some alphabetical dividers and I was set. I use notebook paper for each topic as they arise and note down any scriptures I find in my studying that I always want to correlate with a certain topic listed on those pages. I chose a binder instead of a notebook so that I could add other papers, such as talks, quotes or newspaper clippings. I was very faithful with it on my mission and now I always add notes and handouts from lessons I teach and any talks I give. Over the years it has become somewhat of a treasure, and very useful I might add. And, since I chose a three inch binder, I'm sure it will last me for years to come.
I am trying not to brag about our Texas winter, but the weekend forecasts look beautiful! Have a good one.

S & P.
In all of my list-making, "S&P" always sits atop my list each morning. "S" for scriptures and "P" for prayers. To be honest though, while they always sit as the first thing on my list, they are not always the first things to be done each day. Usually, it doesn't happen unless I wake up well ahead of my two little buddies.
For me, S&P does me the most good when done in the morning hours, when things are calm and the day has yet to become hectic or throw me any surprises. I am most fresh in those hours and am open to learning more. Trouble is, that means I have to get myself out of bed and get going. That also means, I should be getting to bed earlier.
Oh the dilemma.
When do you find time to slip in your S&P? When is the best time for you, and your family? I'd love to know your tried and true secrets.
