INSPIRING.

Photo taken at the interview for the Mormon Channel.

I've mentioned a few times how much I love the Mormon Channel. This week I listened to two podcasts in their Conversations program and both were excellent. So much so, that I though I'd pass the links on to you.

One evening of dishes and picking up, I turned my laptop on to this great interview with Elder Jeffrey R. Holland and his wife Patricia. I already love the Holland's, but this just solidified my feelings. I especially loved their affection and adoration of each other in this interview. Put it on your ipod, put the kids in the stroller and listen, you'll love it.

The other interview was with Christian and Stephanie Nielson. Like the rest of the world, I started reading Stephanie's blog, The NieNie Dialogues after she and Christian suffered extensive burns in a plane crash in 2008. Since that time I have heard and read many interviews with them. I especially loved this one. Did you know that eight people have been baptized from the 800 Books of Mormon they have distributed through her blog? Amazing. Please, take the time to listen, we can all be inspired.

And, if you do listen, please let me know what you think.

Thanks for sharing this. I loved it. Felt the Spirit as I listened to it. Like you, I heard about NieNie right after the crash, and I prayed for her and her husband's recovery. My favorite parts were when she talked about the choice she was given to stay or go, when she talked about being grateful for and LOVING our whole body + spirit, and to stop trying to be better than others. That last point reminded me of the talk "The Other Prodigal" by Elder Holland. Very inspiring.

Thank you for sharing these - I am part way through the Nielson's podcast and I love it - I love the Spirit you can feel through it and I love how open they both are. A beautiful family.

Thanks also for the reminder that picking the house up can be made more fun by listening to things like this - I needed that today.
