LABOR DAY AND A WINNER.

Hope the weekend was a happy one. I made my way down to Provo and BYU for BYU's first game of the season. It was fun to be back amongst the happiness of Provo. Some things never seem to change. And, of course I was pleased with the outcome of the game, though intense at times.

Labor Day kind of signifies the end of summer in my mind and the beginning of fall. And, it looks like the Mother Nature is thinking the same as things are really starting to cool off here in Utah.

In honor of the end of summer, I thought I'd share a favorite recipe. My friend Lindsey introduced me to these delicious brownies last summer and we have enjoyed them on a few occasions. The main reason I love them is because they are such a cinch.

S'more Brownies
1 box brownie mix
2 cups chocolate chips
2 cups mini marshmallows
graham cracker squares

Cook the brownies as indicated on the box. When the brownies are done, sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the brownies and return to oven until the chocolate melts. After the chocolate is melted, add the mini marshmallows to the brownies and return to oven for a few minutes until they are soft. Remove the brownies and press the graham cracker squares on top of the marshmallows. When they have cooled, cut the brownies around the graham crackers.

These are messy, but so, so good. Treat your family tonight for Family Home Evening!

And, a winner of the Mark Mabry photography book is, Dusty + Mary Anne. E-mail me Mary Anne with your address and we'll get it in the mail.

Ha ha I opened this up, totally not expecting to see my name, and exclaimed to Dusty "We won! Dusty, we WON!" I felt like an idiot afterward, but was honestly so surprised and happy. You just made my day :) I'll email you my address. Thanks!
