UNSELFISH SERVICE.

When all is said and done, the thousands of diapers, the sleepless nights and long days, the hours of story time, difficult bed times, nights of homework, hours spent on soccer fields, fights over cell phones and car keys, tears of frustration, and of not knowing what to do, will all be worth it--because it will have brought us closer to the Savior.

That's a nice promise to have.

So...the video is having a hard time playing on my computer :( But hopefully this comment will still have some relevance. One time someone made a comment in Relief Society during a lesson on service that struck me for some reason. I don't remember if we had kids yet or not, but she said that one reason she believed we love our children so unconditionally is because we are constantly serving them. We naturally love those we serve. Therefore, constant service=unconditional love. Just like the Savior. She undoubtedly put it more eloquently than I just did, but it made me happy nonetheless. I guess it doesn't always seem like "service", because mothering is just what you do. But in reality, it is an extreme amount of service. Moms are so lucky.

Thanks, Erin. I hadn't seen this one yet, and it was a nice pick-me-up this evening.
